Malawi is one of the poorest countries in the world. Reason enough for The Co-operative to have led the development of Fairtarde there. The very first Fairtrade sugar The Co-operative launched into the UK came from the Kasinthula Cane Growers Association in Malawi. In 2008, The Co-operative completed the switch to 100% Fairtrade sugar across its own brand range. This film shows the impact that five years of investment has had on this poverty stricken area.
