Content & Advertising Policy
Ethical TV is a specialist service. Only specially approved films will be uploaded films and editorial content will be uploaded onto the site. It will provide an ideal platform for NGOs, educational organisations, campaigning organisations, co-operatives, retailers & manufacturers who wish to promote causes of social justice, poverty, international understanding, environment, social responsibility and world peace.
Ethical TV has developed a principled screening Policy. Only content in line with this Policy will be uploaded onto the site. On a daily basis, the site Editor will make decisions regarding whether or not a film is suitable - this may necessitate Ethical TV seeking further information from the organisation submitting the film.
Ethical TV will bring together a board of ethical and international development advisors from organisations and business twice a year to discuss and develop its C&A Policy.
We will accept films, editorial & advertising that promote/communicate:

- Ethical Investment and Finance
International Development
The purpose of this channel is to promote, inspire and educate viewers to International Development issues such as Fair Trade, Education, Environment & Poverty Reduction.
We will support and encourage content & advertising from:
- Organisations that promote the concept of Fair Trade and International Development
- Organisations participating in the social economy
- Co-operatives, organisations & communities indeveloping countries that promote positive collaborative working practices
Community (Local & Global)
The purpose of this channel is to promote and platform community values and projects that have a positive effect on individuals in their community.
We will accept films and news from:
Organisations, institutions & businesses that support positive community work and co-operative values that clearly demonstrate the benefits of positive and collaborative positive practices in the UK and beyond.
Education
The purpose of this channel is to provide a platform particularly for International Development agencies who aim to communicate their work to wider audiences through films and news. This channel is also to promote education projects, particularly in developing countries and engage these issues with young people and educators across the globe.
Health
We will accept films from International aid organisations, local government campaigns and from organisations that provide and practice health education issues such as AIDS awareness, Malaria projects as well as healthier living in the western world.
We will not accept films that advertise medicines/remedies.
Environment
The purpose of this channel is to raise awareness through films and news about environmental issues such as climate change, energy conservation, biodiversity & waste.
We will screen films from organisations on climate change, renewable energy suppliers, wildlife organisations that are making a positive impact on the environment and demonstrate positive practices through film and news updates.
Ethical Investment
The purpose of this channel is to raise awareness about positive finance and investment.
We will accept films and news about ethical investment from financial institutions or other relevant organisations with ethical and social responsibility at the heart of their business.
